Forbidden Mind

~She reads mind. He controls minds. Together, they might get out alive.~

Sam thinks she's months away from freedom. After spending her life in a secret school, rented out to the rich and powerful as a paranormal spy, she is ready to head to college like any normal eighteen-year-old.

Only Sam isn't normal. She reads minds. And just before her big going-away party, she links to the mind of a young man who changes everything.

Drake wasn't raised as a 'Rent-A-Kid.' He was kidnapped and taken there by force. But his exceptional physical strength and powers of mind control make him very dangerous, especially to Sam.

When they meet, Sam is forced to face the truth of her situation, and to acknowledge that not all is as it seems in her picture-perfect world. For what awaits her on her eighteenth birthday isn't a trip to college, but an unexpected nightmare from which she may not be able to escape.

To survive, they must work together.

But will their powers be enough to save them before it's too late?

(MY THOUGHTS)     5 STARS!!!!!
Forbidden Mind is an intriguing suspense about kids being raised in a secret organization sense birth, and being trained as spies for rich clients. These kids have different kinds of paranormal powers, and after being made to work for the organization from the age of twelve, their reward is to be given their freedom to live their own life after their eighteenth birthday. Well, at least that's what the organization would like them to believe. Kimberly Kinrade has written an awesome storyline with mystery, suspense, and a heart-melting romance. Kinrade has also created an incredible world with these teenagers, the organization and its secrets.

Kinrade had me wanting more. Sam and Drake are terrific characters. Their romance is beautiful and definitely starts the opposite way of a normal relationship. The cart before the horse is definitely the way to describe Sam and Drake’s romance. Sam is turning eighteen, and she’s finally going to leave this secret organization that she calls “rent-a-kid”. Sam has come back from her last job when she sees Drake, and this starts her questioning everything she has been told. Drake was a secret she was not supposed to know about. Sam and Drake are linked together with more than just their power, and they will do whatever it takes to be free for a purpose that's bigger than both of them.

Forbidden Mind is one read that I glad I didn't miss out on. Sam and Drake's love, and what their facing, is thrilling. I have to know how this will end for them. I highly recommend Forbidden Mind as a must read.
