Silver and Stone (The Bloodlines Series # 1) by J.D. Thompson

Silver and Stone (Bloodlines, #1)

Silver and Stone (Bloodlines, #1)

Welcome to high school high society hell, where last season’s slingbacks can warrant a lunch table demotion, the wrong date will knock you off the it-list and behind every pair of oversized Chanel sunglasses lies a secret people are dying to keep.

As if senior year at Weatherford Preparatory School wasn’t hard enough, sixteen year old Alexis Bardolph had to add school outcast to the curriculum.

A new found notoriety following a family scandal, her lacrosse star boy-friend dumping her for a former BFF and a string of perpetually bad hair days were among the many things going wrong in her already turbulent teenage life.

But when the haunting nightmares that have plagued her since childhood begin to take an eerily tangible form and several Holler Creek residents are reported missing, Alexis can’t help but wonder if there isn’t more to her hellish dreams than meets the eye.

The unexpected arrival of a mysterious and dangerously handsome new student ultimately leads Alexis to troubling truths that not even her wildest imagination could have conjured.

 (MY THOUGHTS)    5   STARS!!!!!
Silver and Stone is Awesome! Anytime a book can literally make me scream, jump up and down, wanting to knee a guy and relieve him of his manhood . . . Oh yes, its that emotional. And it quickly became one of my favorites. I have to hand it to the author, J.D. Thompson; she did an excellent job on writing this scene with Alexis and Lucas at the school steps. (No spoiler. You will know the scene when you read it) J.D. Thompson did excellent job on the whole storyline, too. Silver and Stone has an amazingly strong storyline, and all the characters are well-developed and just beautiful. Silver and Stone grabbed me and still hasn't let go.

Alexis has returned to Weatherford High School for her senior year. It might be Alexis' last year at this rich teenager school, but it’s going to be her hardest. Alexis is no longer one of the elite, popular teenagers in Weatherford’s high society. After a family scandal over the summer, no one is talking to her, and Alexis's dreamy boyfriend drops her for her best friend—a ex-friend now who is a total bitch to Alexis.

Alexis is definitely having it rough until Lucas, the new guy at school, who’s also her new neighbor, shows up. Lucas is delicious, gorgeous, mysterious, dangerous, and they fall fast and hard for each other. Alexis is able to hold her head up again because of Lucas' love and faith in her. But Lucas has a secret about their love . . . and Lucas will have to sacrifice it all for Alexis.

Silver and Stone is definitely one awesome read that you do not want to miss out on. The battle has just begun with Alexis and Lucas' forbidden love. I highly recommend Silver and Stone as a must read. And I’m waiting impatiently for the second book Blood and Champagne.

  1. LOL! If it makes you jump up and down, I've GOT to read it! Besides, the opening part of the blurb was fantastic. This is going on my list! Thanks for another great recommendation.
