Pushing The Limits
"I won't tell anyone, Echo. I promise." Noah tucked a curl behind my ear. It had been so long since someone touched me like he did. Why did it have to be Noah Hutchins? His dark brown eyes shifted to my covered arms. "You didn't do that-did you? It was done to you?" No one ever asked that question. They stared. They whispered. They laughed. But they never asked.
"An edgy romance that pulls you in and never lets go. I was hooked!"-Gena Showalter, New York Times bestselling author of the Intertwined series
So wrong for each other...and yet so right.
No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible. Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

First, I’d like to say that I love the cover and title of this novel. With a title like Pushing The Limits and a hot cover like this, the author better be ready to back it up with an awesome storyline and sizzling hot romance.... and boy did she ever, Katie McGarry, wow! WOW! McGarry hooked me and took it over the top with Noah’s character. I LOVE when an author can write an eighteen year old guy true to a guy’s speech, thoughts, and actions. I also love that it’s written from both Echo and Noah’s point of view. Noah is HOT! What else can I say? He’s lip-licking, deliciously HOT!. I should just end my review here. I mean, Noah did it for me. I don't need to say any more. Here ends my review lol! Okay, let me try to go on now that my gushing over Noah has calmed down a little…but it’s definitely not over. McGarry’s writing and storyline is awesome in this YA Contemporary Romance. McGarry is right-on with knowing today's teens and how they talk and the world they live in. I love all the characters and the fantastic pull-at my-heart-strings storyline and HOT! romance. Even though the ending wrapped up Echo and Noah, there will be a sequel with Noah's best friend Beth, and I will be waiting to see more of this hard-ass, skater bad girl.
Echo was the popular girl, in with the popular crowd, and now she wants that normal life back. Noah is a foster kid and a bad boy who just wants what's left of his family to be together again. When Mrs. Collins becomes the new social worker at their school, Echo and Noah's world collides, and they push each other to the limit. Echo has lost all memories of what happened a year and a half ago on the night her bi-polar mother tried to kill her. Noah's parents died two and half years ago in a house fire and now he's trying to get his two younger brothers back and out of the foster care system. Echo and Noah need their files that Mrs. Collins has on their cases. This will help them get the answers they need. When Mrs. Collins asks Echo if she would like to tutor a student to earn money, it turns out to be Noah, the popular girl and the bad boy come up with a plan to help each other get what they want. But their plan never included falling in love. Echo and Noah will be pushed beyond their limits for each other’s love.
I love giving teasers, and It’s the best way to show Echo and Noah’s hot romance:
I kiss her lips. Soft, full, warm—everything I'd fantasized it would be and more, so much more. I had a response. I parted my lips and teased her bottom one begging, praying, for permission. Her smooth hands inched up my neck and pulled at my hair, bringing me closer.
Forgetting every rule I'd created for this moment, my hands wandered up her back, twining in her hair, bringing her closer to me. I wanted Echo. I needed Echo.
Okay, just to let you know there is another steamy paragraph that goes in between those two and it’s hot, but I didn't want to spoil this whole scene, and it’s only one of many between Echo and Noah. Noah is one hot bad boy with good intentions. *stops to fan self. Goes on with review*
Pushing The Limits is a breathtaking, melt-your-heart romance, but it’s also about two teens’ life that has been ripped and torn apart with no going back to normal for either of them. For Echo, she will find the true meaning of family and love. For Noah, he will have a family and love again. Echo and Noah grow through their damaged lives to make their own new meaning of normal. I highly recommend Pushing The Limits as an awesome read!
