Gabriel Merrick plays with fire. Literally.

Sometimes he can even control it. And sometimes he can’t. Like the fire that killed his parents.

Gabriel has always had his brothers to rely on, especially his twin, Nick. But when an arsonist starts wreaking havoc on their town, all the signs point to Gabriel. Only he’s not doing it.

More than Gabriel’s pride is at stake -- this could cost him his family, maybe his life. And no one seems to hear him. Except a shy sophomore named Layne, a brainiac who dresses in turtlenecks and jeans and keeps him totally off balance. Layne understands family problems, and she understands secrets. She has a few of her own.

Gabriel can’t let her guess about his brothers, about his abilities, about the danger that’s right at his heels. But there are some risks he can’t help taking.

The fuse is lit…

(MY THOUGHTS)
Spark is the totally awesome sequel to Storm in the Elemental series. Brigid Kemmerer is a fantastic writer and definitely love Gabriel's bad boy character. But what's better than a gorgeous guy with supernatural power? Answer: four gorgeous brothers with supernatural powers. I couldn't get enough of these guys and this amazing story. Kemmerer just set my world on fire with Gabriel—a bad boy with a hot temper—and I mean that literally, as well as with my heart. Gabriel is the kind of beautiful bad boy character that makes me wish I could jump into this awesome novel and be the girl he falls in love with. Ah, you can't tell me you don't have that same wish when you're reading about a gorgeous guy who makes you swoon. All the brothers are going to get their girls in this second novel. And I can't wait to read Hunter's story in Spirit.

Gabriel's is on fire, and it’s not just from him being a fire elemental. His temper has reached its boiling point with him feeling like he's responsible for his parents’ death, and being a failure to his brothers. And when fires starts breaking out around town, everyone (even his brothers) thinks Gabriel might be the one behind them.

Layne is the new girl in school, and she’s a hot petite, little fire ball herself. When she meets Gabriel, she gives him his bad attitude right back to him just as good as he gives it. Layne’s going to cool hot-headed Gabriel down and heat him up in a different way. And she’s just the tough girl that can tame the fire in Gabriel. The truth and dare game will become real life for these two.

Spark is an awesome, hot novel. Gabriel is nothing but hot with his gorgeous looks, his temper, his power as an elemental and his hot romance with Layne. I recommend Spark as a sizzling hot summer read.
