Every Day by David Levithan

Every Day

                        Every Day

                                                    by

Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl.

Every morning, A wakes in a different person’s body, a different person’s life. There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.

It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day.

With his new novel, David Levithan has pushed himself to new creative heights. He has written a captivating story that will fascinate readers as they begin to comprehend the complexities of life and love in A’s world, as A and Rhiannon seek to discover if you can truly love someone who is destined to change every day.

(MY THOUGHTS)
Every Day is a heartbreaking love story. David Levithan has created an amazing world within human bodies. Leviathan has written a love story for the true romantic, a heart-wrenching, self-sacrifice love. This Science Fiction love story absolutely blew my mind.

A is a sixteen year old drifter, and for sixteen years, he has woken up every morning in someone else’s body. He has come to accept this as his way of life, until he wakes up as Justin and falls in love with Rhiannon, Justin's girlfriend. Now A wakes up every morning in a different body just so he can get back to Rhiannon. A has never told anyone about himself, but his love for Rhiannon has given A something he never had before: to know what Love feels like. He wants to stay as the same person, to have a life where Rhiannon loves him. He’s going to try and convince her he's the same person even if he looks different and try to show Rhiannon that they can love each other even if he looks different on the outside, he's the same person on the inside.

I'm trying to think of how to describe to you just how beautifully breathtaking and hopelessly sad A and Rhiannon’s love for each other is without spoiling it for you as a reader. And I guess the best I can do is say David Levithan has done an outstanding job at breaking my heart for A. A is just an awesome guy character. He sacrifices all he ever wanted for the first and only girl he will forever love, and if that’s not enough, he will make sure Rhiannon will be truly loved.

Every Day is a rip-your-heart to pieces love story. A is going to steal your heart. I highly recommend Every Day as love story you will never forget!

(My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century #1)
                                                  by Rachel Harris
On the precipice of her sixteenth birthday, the last thing lone wolf Cat Crawford wants is an extravagant gala thrown by her bubbly stepmother and well-meaning father. So even though Cat knows the family’s trip to Florence, Italy, is a peace offering, she embraces the magical city and all it offers. But when her curiosity leads her to an unusual gypsy tent, she exits . . . right into Renaissance Firenze.

Thrust into the sixteenth century armed with only a backpack full of contraband future items, Cat joins up with her ancestors, the sweet Alessandra and protective Cipriano, and soon falls for the gorgeous aspiring artist Lorenzo. But when the much-older Niccolo starts sniffing around, Cat realizes that an unwanted birthday party is nothing compared to an unwanted suitor full of creeptastic amore.

Can she find her way back to modern times before her Italian adventure turns into an Italian forever?

(MY THOUGHTS)
Before I get into my review of this awesome novel, I would like to say a few special words about the beautiful lady who is also an amazing writer, Rachel Harris. I met Ms. Rachel Harris through my daughter. Rachel and my daughter are cirque partners, and I was asked to be a beta reader for Rachel’s MSSSC. I would just like to say to Rachel that it was an honor and a wonderful privilege to be a part of My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century. Rachel is an amazing writer and storyteller, which I instantly knew when I read the first page of her novel. I am so happy to tell you Congratulations! Rachel, your dream has come true, and I love being able to call you Author Rachel Harris!

Cat is an artist, and she’s always wanted to go to Italy since fourth grade when she saw the Orley's Madonna and Child with Apples and Pears painting. Cat even got a tattoo of a pear on her right hip because of her love for that time period of famous artists, and also because it holds sentimental meaning for her. So when her Dad takes her to Florence, Italy for her soon-to-be sweet sixteenth, she’s super excited. But Cat also knows her dad is hoping this trip will be a kind of peace offering between her and Jenna , her dad's fiancĂ©e. Cat will take getting to go to Italy any way she can, even if it means tolerating Jenna.

Cat is going to get one heck of a sixteen birthday adventure of her life. When Cat enters a gypsy tent to find out her future, she exits into 1505—Renaissance Florence, Italy. What Cat lost in her present day life can only be found in the Italy of the past, and a gorgeous boy named Lorenzo Cappelli.

My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century is about Cat learning to trust and open her life and heart again, even when it means love could break her heart. Cat and Lorenzo's romance is a beautiful renaissance love story. And with the cliffhanger ending, I can’t wait to see if love will repeat itself as history does. I highly recommend My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century as an awesome must read!

Author Bio (Spotlight)
Rachel Harris
As a teen, Rachel threw raging parties that shook her parents’ walls and created embarrassing fodder for future YA novels.
As an adult, she read and wrote obsessively, rehash said embarrassing fodder, and dreamt up characters who become her imaginary friends.
When she's not typing furiously or flipping pages in an enthralling romance, you can find Rachel homeschooling her two beautiful princesses, hanging out with her amazing husband, or taking a hot bubble bath…next to a pile of chocolate.
MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEENTH CENTURY is her first novel. She did have her own fantabulous Sweet Sixteen in high school. Sadly, it wasn’t televised.

My Swoon is from: My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century by Rachel Harris

Our second kiss is gentle and passionate, tentative and hungry, all at once. My fingers thread through his curls and clasp around his head, tugging him to me. He tastes like the wildflower-honey pastries inside, sweet and intoxicating. I explore his mouth, starting with his soft lips, and when he deepens the kiss, the warm cavern inside. I sigh against him and a tremor rocks my body. He breaks away from the kiss, his dazed eyes meeting mine, making sure I’m okay before he kisses me again and again—our lips settling into the rhythm of a different dance. His thumbs draw light circles along my cheeks. I suck on his lower lip, and the moan that escapes his throat makes me ache.

Yep!, Ms. Harris definitely made me swoon over Lorenzo!

But she’s also looking for love—because even though her romance with Cole had to be snuffed, Ash is a volcano goddess—and she doesn’t get burned.

This sequel to the edgy and action-packed Wildefire continues a fiery drama on an immortal scale.

(MY THOUGHTS)
Embers and Echoes is absolutely amazing. I knew Karsten Knight was an awesome writer after I read Wildefire, but Knight totally took me to a higher level of his awesomeness in the sequel Embers and Echoes. I thought I knew a little where Knight was going to take his sequel, but I was wrong. Knight definitely blew me away with the storyline in Embers and Echoes, and one of the mind blowing was Colt Halliday, yes, notice I said his whole name. ( full names are used when you really want to do bodily harm to a person) I fell in love the gorgeous forest ranger Colt right along with Ashline in Wildefire, but this time around, Jerk is way too nice of a name for Colt. Yep! I love it when Ashline told Colt "Come near me again, and we'll find out what else you can regrow." She pointed at his crotch. Ashline is a girl after my own heart when she says this to Colt.Thank you Mr. Knight for Ashline, she is a wonderful character!

Ashline is going to really have a rough time with love and fighting for her life, she will find out who Colt really is, plus trying to get Eve out of the Cloak's Netherworld and losing more of her friend, old ones and new ones. And she also will have to fight four sadistic gods and goddess's to get her little sister Rose back, with one of the sadistic goddess being Lily. Ashline has her hands full and on top of everything she is remember her past lives.

Ashline has to go to Miami for her fight and rescue mission and she meets Wesley who's the Aztec god of night and Aurora who's the Roman goddess of the dawn. Wes and Aurora offer their myth's powers to help Ash, but it clear that Wes is offering more than just his power to Ash and Ash is not refusing Wes. But Ash is starting to realize love for her really stinks when it comes to romance with gorgeous myth gods.

Embers and Echoes is an amazing sequel to Wildefire with thrilling action and chilling heart-break for Ashline with her sister, her friend, her enemies and her love life. I highly recommend Embers and Echoes as a must read beautiful kick-ass heroine you will love and be rooting for.

MEET THORNE
Ash wiggled her arm to see how tight Thorne’s grip was and whether she had enough leeway to escape. “Riveting as this lecture has been, it’s past my curfew.” She raised her champagne flute in a salute to him. “Now it’s time for me to return to my boyfriend.”
Thorne shook his head. “No. Now it’s time for us to stop pretending we’re mortals.”
She tried to lurch away, but Thorne caught her by the loose material of her dress, and he pushed her roughly through the archway of the grotto. Once inside, he slammed her hard up against the wall so that the sharp coral fingers jabbed into her back, and the breath deflated out of her on impact. With him pressing her up against the wall, they were both hidden from any passersby.
Ash smashed her champagne flute against the coral. The glass and champagne littered the ground, but she had the daggerlike broken stem pointed at the side of his neck in a second. “Unless you can summon wind in these close quarters,” she growled, “I suggest you back off before I shish-kebab you and serve you as an appetizer to the party guests.”
