Back to You
When Lauren Monroe first laid eyes on Michael Delaney back in high school, she had every reason to stay away from him; within minutes of their first encounter, his volatile actions confirmed his notorious reputation. But Lauren saw something in him that caused her to question his bad-boy persona, and against her better judgment, she took a chance. She had no way of knowing that the unlikely friendship they formed would become so important to her.
Or that it would end so painfully.
Eight years later, when Lauren begins her new job at Learn and Grow Day Care, Michael is the last person she expects to see. Refusing to revisit the hurt and confusion of their past, Lauren vows to keep her distance from him. But staying away from Michael proves to be more difficult than she thought, despite her lingering grief and her instincts for self-preservation.
As Lauren and Michael recall the friendship that changed them forever and the events that tore them apart, will they finally be able to heal? Or will the ghosts of Michael’s past prove to be too much to overcome?

(MY THOUGHTS)Back to You is so much more than just a romance that gives you tingles—it’s a heart-melting love story that will steal your heart. Priscilla Glenn’s writing style can only be described as beautiful. There is no doubt I love romance, but when a story can give me a heart-felt love between the two people with a swoony romance also, now that’s what I call a true romance novel. And this is why Back to You will be one of the novels that I will remember after reading another hundred books. This is a story about a good girl's love that not only saves a bad boy, but enables him to redeem himself. Yeah, this is a beautiful love story!
Back to You is told from Lauren and Michael's point of view, and anyone who reads my reviews knows how much I love this; to see both sides of the relationship. Lauren and Michael's relationship starts in the year 2000, when Lauren is a freshman in high school and she becomes best friends with Michael, who is a new student and who is also known as a bad ass. Over the next three years they become best friends, but when Michael leaves town after graduation, they don't meet again until eight years later. I love the way Glenn weaved Lauren and Michael's teen years with their present story in their twenties. It gives the readers the history between these two and what broke their hearts the night Michael left town.
Back to You reminded my heart of what real romance should be like; true love between two people. I highly recommend Back to You as a beautiful, romantic love story—a must, must read.
