My Swoon is from: Sins & Needles (The Artists Trilogy #1) by Karina Halle. I haven't started reading this book yet. Just grabbed a swoon with Ellie and Camden, but after reading their steamy swoon, I'm so wanting to read this book NOW!!! HOT!!!

I could see my frightened reflection in the black hole of his pupil. “See? You’re afraid.”
“You want to scare me? I whispered.
He kept his lips an inch from mine. His fingers smoothed the hair off my face, tucking behind my ear.
“Yes,” he murmured. His lips brushed mine as he spoke. My breath hitched as his other hand slid the strap of my tank top and bra off my shoulder. I shivered from his touch, from his eyes, from whatever was buried in his heart and eating him alive.
“Camden,” I warned, my voice shaking. He placed his lips on my shoulder and started kissing down my arm. He was right. I was scared. I was so, so afraid. Yet a terrible part of me wanted him to continue. I was turned on and frightened, ready to run, ready to fight, ready to grab him and kiss him, devour every part of him. I didn’t know what was going on, but I was stuck in a cage with something that might or might not harm me, that might give me everything and leave me with nothing.

Blog Tour: Review & Giveaway A Matter Of Fate (Fate Series #1) by Heather Lyons

A Matter of Fate (Fate Series, #1)
                                                       By Heather Lyons

Summary from Goodreads:

Chloe Lilywhite struggles with all the normal problems of a typical seventeen-year-old high school student. Only, Chloe isn't a normal teenage girl. She's a Magical, part of a secret race of beings who influence the universe. More importantly, she's a Creator, which means Fate mapped out her destiny long ago, from her college choice, to where she will live, to even her job. While her friends and relatives relish their future roles, Chloe resents the lack of say in her life, especially when she learns she's to be guarded against a vengeful group of beings bent on wiping out her kind. Their number one target? Chloe, of course.

That's nothing compared to the boy trouble she's gotten herself into. Because a guy she's literally dreamed of and loved her entire life, one she never knew truly existed, shows up in her math class, and with him comes a twin brother she finds herself inexplicably drawn to.

Chloe's once unyielding path now has a lot more choices than she ever thought possible.

Release Date: 08/30/12

(MY THOUGHTS)

A Matter of Fate is an emotional roller-coaster. I could not put this novel down after reading the first chapter. Heather Lyons grabbed me be the heartstrings with Chloe, Jonah, and Kellan, and she didn't let me go. I love a well done love triangle, and Lyons gave me a heartbreaker of one with these three. I think I know who I want to see Chloe with, I just don't know if the author will let me have the guy I’m rooting for. But I’ll trust the author’s decision with either Jonah or Kellan. In this first novel it’s pretty clear who Chloe is supposed to be with and who she has chosen to be with, but I'm still hoping that some way, the guy I want will be the one.

I will say that I do love both these guys, who are twin brothers. This is also a paranormal story, which is another plus for me. Heather Lyons’ world building is incredible, especially the different powers of the Magicals’ race that are living secretly among the humans. I fell in love with all the beautiful characters in this novel, there are so many, and all of them have beautiful personalities. Lyons also gives the reader a few other romances with Chloe's friends in this amazing story.

A Matter of Fate is an absolutely beautiful story about a girl growing up, accepting a life that Fate and the leader of the Council has decided for her, and learning the commitment of love. I recommend A Matter of Fate as a beautiful love story that will touch and break your heart for Chloe, Jonah, and Kellan’s destiny to love each other.

My Favorite Quotes:

"And it doesn't matter, anyway--"
"Hell yeah, it matters!" I bark. "You were dating this chick even after you found out I was real?"
"Do you really want to go there?"
"Well, if the shoe fits..."

And my heart stops beating.
It starts small, just a brush really, but then it's like something inside them switches on. He's kissing her like he kisses me, with his heart, and each millisecond takes me closer to hell.

And there, he kisses me senseless. After we come up for air, he murmurs, "You were not in the plans."
I think of the unbending and stressful path before me. "What sort of plans do you have?"

"yeah. It fucking sucks and hurts like hell. But I've got to find a way to deal, Chloe. And you need to let me, because if I don't I'm going to go crazy since the pain is so acute, it's all I think about."
