Deleted Scene

This scene may or may not have been written after an awkward Zumba class I went too.  It didn’t make the final cut, but it’s still a funny scene! And also unedited, but enjoy!

Later that night it was raining and Jo had, very unwilling, made me go to a Zumba class with her. I was trying to shake my hips but to no avail. I looked like a demented emu. Jolene, on the other hand, could have been a salsa dancer in a past life. Why she was able to drag me to this damn Zumba class, I don’t know. I wasn’t too keen on the exercise idea. I tried to eat healthy and with working on my feet and being active outside, I was usually lucky enough to avoid it. I tried to follow the peppy instructor but could only focus on her god-awful bright green sweat pants and her underwear line that was hard to look away from. I followed as much as I could but generally felt pretty damn stupid. Stupid rain. Stupid Jolene with her siren ways and salsa shaking hips. Stupid hip shaking hell.
The peppy blinding green sweats wearing instructor, after her karate sounding yell, lead us into the cool down song and I was ecstatic I could leave this room. I had shimmied my hips into the next decade and was ugly sweaty from the workout. The instructor ended the class and I headed to the back of the room to grab my stuff. Jolene, looking very pretty sweaty, bounced up to me with a huge smile on her face. “Wow, that was such a good workout! I feel great”, she practically squealed. I gave her my best fake server smile, wanting to go home. We stepped out of the classroom and I started to look into my bag for my car keys, when I ran into someone. A sweaty someone. I looked up to only see Reece starting at me. I had to really stop doing this. Seriously.
“Hi” he said with a bright smile.
“Hey, sorry I didn’t even see you there” I said.
“Yeah I know, you walked right into me, I tried to dodge but you, well, dodged too.” Reece responded like it was no big deal.
So there I was, ugly sweaty, and staring Reece, reminding me of Josh Ritter’s song bright smile dark eyes because there was definitely a bright smile but those smoldering dark green eyes were staring right at me. I felt my breath catch, not sure if it was from the workout or him starting at me.
“Well…” I started every so eloquently  “…I never see you here Reece, I didn’t know you worked out here”.
“It was raining and I got a free pass from a friend. Figured what the hell.”
I needed to leave and leave now. I was super sweaty, not at all attractive. And I wasn’t really in the mood to deal with Reece.
“Oh that’s nice. Well see you later.” I abruptly said as I walked away. I glanced once behind me to see Reece watching me walk away. I wasn’t going to even touch what that look was for as I walked to my car.
