The next sizzling novel of C. L. Parker’s Monkey Business Trio—perfect for fans of Bared to You and Beautiful Bastard.

Hotshot San Diego sports agent Shaw Matthews and his sexy professional adversary Cassidy Whalen have gone head-to-head in the boardroom—and the bedroom. Now Shaw has scored a big promotion—but only because Cassidy turned it down and ran off. There are many things he wants when it comes to Cassidy—just not her pity. So Shaw rushes to a small town in Maine to retrieve his dignity—and maybe the woman he’s hungry to claim once more.

Cassidy has pushed herself to the max to realize her career dreams—until a family crisis brings her home. But Shaw isn’t letting Cassidy go that easily. Neither is gorgeous heartthrob Casey Michaels, the childhood sweetheart she left behind—and who now wants to win her back. As the rivalry between the two alpha males intensifies, and Shaw’s seductive moves reach a whole new level of heat, Cassidy has to make a choice. And this time, it’s for the highest stakes of all.

Getting Rough is intended for mature audiences.

                                                       (My Thoughts)

OMG! Are you ready for another round of insanity with Shaw and Cassidy in book two, Getting Rough? And now there's also Casey, Cassidy's childhood sweetheart, to add to the mix of craziness. Tears will be shed while reading this book, be prepared—but it will not be from the swoony romance. Even though it is a touch-your-heart romance, your tears will be of the laughing-your-behind-off verity at these two insanely hot-to-trot, beautiful and crazy characters.

Shaw being the alpha male that he is, is not about to let Cassidy get one up on him. So he's off chasing Cassidy across country to her nowhere hometown of Stonington, Maine. But, of course Shaw will never say he's giving chase because he just might love the girl. No, it will take a force of nature and, probably in Shaw's case, coming face to face with being six feet under, before he will admit that he's whipped by a woman. Same goes for Cassidy. She’s hardheaded until her heart kicks her in the butt.

I totally loved this book. I finally got some answers about Casey, the guy whose name is tattooed on an unmentionable body part of Cassidy. And even though I love Shaw, I have to say, I love Casey, too. And I also love seeing all the wonderful characters from the first book in this story, too and seeing their romances work out for them in the background of Shaw and Cassidy's romance.

Getting Rough is a fantastic, crazy rollercoaster ride with steamy romance that had me laughing and fanning myself. There is also a few chapters from Casey and Mia's point of view. Mia is another amazing character in this story. I can't wait for book three, to see how Shaw and Cassidy handle this little situation they have at the ending of this book. I highly recommend Shaw and Cassidy's insane romance in Getting Rough as a must read.

About the Author
C. L. Parker is a romance author who writes stories that sizzle. She’s a small-town girl with big-city dreams and enough tenacity to see them come to fruition. Having been the outgoing sort for all her life—which translates to “she just wouldn’t shut the hell up”—it’s no wonder Parker eventually turned to writing as a way to let her voice, and those of the people living inside her head, be heard. She loves hard, laughs until it hurts, and lives like there’s no tomorrow. In her world, everything truly does happen for a reason.
