In an edgy, seductive novel hailed by Rachel Van Dyken as “unique and gripping,” Jessica Lemmon introduces the ultimate bad boy . . . and a love that crosses all boundaries.
Morgan Young had a perfect upbringing, and now she’s got a perfect boyfriend and a perfect future—until her twenty-first birthday changes everything. First Morgan finds out, in the most painful way possible, that her relationship is a sham. But that’s nothing compared to the nightmare about to unfold.
It’s too late for Tucker Noscalo. A brutal childhood left him with a bad reputation and a criminal record. Fresh out of jail, Tucker has a score to settle with Baybrook’s crooked chief of police—his own father. Nobody will believe Tucker’s explosive accusations without proof and a good lawyer, neither of which he has on his side. Until he sees someone he used to know, someone who just so happens to be the daughter of the best lawyer in the county.
He needs Morgan to convince her father of the ugly truth. But first he has to convince her, and he’ll do whatever it takes to get her to listen. Confronted by the story of Tucker’s dark past, Morgan feels utterly compelled to help him. And as their connection grows into a fierce bond fueled by raw passion, Morgan finds herself falling for the wrong guy—but never has the promise of love felt so right.

Sometimes when I review a book, I wish I could just say: "This story is absolutely amazing! Please, just go buy the book!" and that would be enough said. Why? Because I don’t want to give away any spoilers; I just want to stress how much I loved it. And with a story like this, it's easy to do. I love this story so,so very much. So, less is going to be more with this review. And the more is: Tucker Noscalo. OMG, this guy is beautiful. Readers are used to the norm when it comes to a bad boy. Like the bad boy player, the manwhore and so on, but Jessica Lemmon has just given bad boys a whole new name with Tucker Noscalo. Now, we really can fall in love with a bad boy and have self-worth for doing so. Tucker stole my heart, broke it and put it back together. I wanted to jump into this book and become the heroine, Morgan Young, so I could just hold Tucker. I love when an author can make me feel this much emotion for a fictional character. That Tucker no longer is fiction, but becomes real. And this is why we read, readers. Because the characters and the story become alive and set our hearts on fire so we can feel the story with every bit of our hearts and emotions. Thank you Jessica Lemmon for Tucker Noscalo, the bad boy who is above all other bad boys!
Tucker and Morgan's romance is heart melting. Morgan touched my heart with the way she loves Tucker and the tender way she shows Tucker how to love. Okay, that all I'm going to say, except that I highly recommend Forgotten Promises as a must, must read.
